Mark Hoppus Charms and Cee Lo Rocks in New Show

Mark Hoppus is a rare kind of celebrity. He began like any rock star, surfing his pipe dream on concert stages playing bass for Blink-182 and later dabbling in music reviews for SPIN magazine. Now, not only is Hoppus working on yet another Blink album, he's co-hosting a new show on Fuse called 'A Different SPIN with Mark Hoppus.' Luckily, PopEater got to sneak onto the set to catch a glimpse of their latest episode, featuring Cee Lo Green.

If you don't know who Cee Lo is, then ask Captain Kirk and Gwyneth Paltrow. Paltrow will be singing his hit song 'F*** You' on 'Glee' next week, and William Shatner sang it on 'Lopez Tonight' on Nov. 3. Yeah, you could say he's pretty trendy these days.

The 38-year-old Hoppus makes for an intriguing TV show host not only because he retains his skater boy, goof-ball mentality, but because he actually has some music chops and can creatively critique and curate new music.

After watching an episode of his show firsthand, one thing is certain, Hoppus will always be a rock star before anything else, even if he eventually becomes an actor or businessman.

Too often, talk shows involve talking heads and journalists struggling to engage celebrities and you don't often get true musical minds interviewing each other. Off camera, Hoppus giggles erratically and yells "f***" just for laughs, which makes for a much looser experience. He calls Fuse "the dysfunctional family of my dreams," which either means this marriage is utterly genius or hopelessly chaotic.

The next episode airs Thursday at 7PM ET on Fuse.
