OSLO, Norway (AP) — Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA says it will lease two wide-bodied Boeing 787-8 aircraft from International Lease Finance Corp. for long-haul flights.
The low-cost Norwegian airline says it will take delivery of the aircraft, known as the “Dreamliner,” in 2012. Norwegian Air Shuttle said Monday that each plane will have a lease term of 12 years but gave no financial details.
Norwegian says it currently leases four Boeing aircraft from California-based ILFC.
Norwegian is the second-largest airline in Scandinavia with 53 aircraft on 240 routes. It employs some 2,000 people.
